CONTROLS

 

The Definition control regulates the amount of the BBE HIGH DEFINITION SOUND process.  The Lo Contour control increases the bass presence, working in conjunction with the Definition control.  The ARS is simple to set up and operate - simply adjust the knobs until it sounds best with your system and source material.  It couldn't be easier!

 

The Process button turns the BBE HIGH DEFINITION SOUND process on or off.   A green light indicates the BBE process is engaged, a red light means the BBE process is disengaged. This button is great for comparing the amazing improvement in sound quality, but once you've experienced BBE HIGH DEFINITION SOUND you'll never want to turn it off!

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

 
The ARS is easy to install.  With many stereo receivers and integrated amplifiers, simply insert the ARS into the cassette tape loop which is controlled by the "Tape Monitor" button on your receiver/preamplifier (usually Tape "A" or Tape "1").  Then set your "Tape Monitor" button to the ON position and any signal source may be processed by the ARS.
 

NOTE:  YOUR RECEIVER OR INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER MUST HAVE A CASSETTE TAPE INPUT LOOP AND A "TAPE  MONITOR" SWITCH ON ITS FACE PANEL TO USE THE ARS TO PROCESS ALL SOURCES (RADIO, CD, TAPE, PHONO ETC.)  SEE BELOW FOR USE WITH RECEIVERS OR INTEGRATED AMPLIFIERS WITHOUT A "TAPE MONITOR" SWITCH.
 

"WHAT IF MY SYSTEM DOESN'T HAVE A TAPE MONITOR BUTTON?"

You can still use the ARS to process at least a single audio source, such as your CD player or Hi-Fi VCR.  For example, to use the ARS to process your CD signal, simply plug your CD player into the SOURCE input on the ARS, then use the SOURCE output to continue to your amplifier or receiver.

"I HAVE A SEPARATE PREAMPLIFIER AND POWER AMP.  CAN I INSERT THE BBE ARS BETWEEN THEM?"

Yes, and this method will process all of your stereo sources.  Simply send the main output signal from your preamplifier to the inputs of the BBE ARS, the send the output signal from the ARS to the main inputs on your power amp.  The professional audio heritage of the BBE ARS assures that the ARS will stand up to rigorous usage, day after day, year after year.
