2001 - Micronas GmbH licenses BBE High Definition Sound technology
Micronas GmbH, a leading European-based provider of semiconductor
audio solutions has licensed BBE High Definition Sound technology as used
in the world famous BBE Sonic Maximizer™ professional audio signal processors.
Micronas had already begun implementing the BBE High Definition Sound technology
in ICs of their DSP-based MSP family, operating as a subcontrator for Sony
to include BBE technology in Sony's new line of television sets soon to
be sale in Europe.
"The digital implementation of the BBE Sonic Maximizer™
technology illustrates once more the efficiency and the flexibility of Micronas
in providing new solutions for audio products", said Stefan Hepp, marketing

Micronas has joined many of the most respected audio semiconductors now
offering audio solutions featuring BBE technology, including JRC, Rohm,
Toshiba, Mitsubishi and AKM.
